“I think we romanticize things way too much. And I don’t mean with the obvious stuff like love or relationships, I think we romanticize babies way too damn much. I can never understand why when a woman tells you she’s pregnant you’re supposed to be all awe’s and congratulation’s. Why? It’s a process typical to literally all of humanity. My heart is constantly diffusing carbon dioxide from oxygen and pumps like two thousand gallons of blood every single day, where’s my god damn bouquet of flowers? Nowhere, because it’s a regular god damn bodily function. For some reason getting pregnant and miracle have become fucking synonyms, but whenever I hear ‘pregnant’ all that comes to mind for me is ‘Oh, unprotected sex.’ A miracle has nothing to do with it, it’s simple cause and effect.”
