cover sharp edges
plastic cups plastic plates
plastic bags full of snacks
and close doors so the little ones
don’t wander.
Lots of napkins for the spills
soda juices chips soda juices dip
and a Jack Danielles
just for me
and the headache that’s to come.
Funny how party proofing your apartment feels exactly like baby proofing your apartment.
